Everyone on the web has heard that you can clean out your garage or dust off some things from the basement or attic and make a few bucks by selling it on eBay. Now it was some work but I was able to run auctions about every two weeks and make on average $1500 per auction. This was working a few nights a week as I had a full time gig as well. Not bad huh? I’m sure I could have made more but that was all the time I cared to put into it. The return is directly proportional to the effort you put in.

Today there is a lot more competition but don’t get discouraged. You can still make good money selling stuff on eBay you just have to go about it in an educated manner and with a plan. There are more things to consider like niche saturation, finding legit wholesalers, eBay storefronts and affiliate marketing just to name a few. If it’s your intention to sell that leg lamp in the attic, an old bicycle in the garage or that total gym that is just taking up space, sure, you can do that no problem. If you want to make real money then you better get educated, arm yourself with resources and develop a plan.
